Book Designer (see Book Shepherd)

Book designers create covers that capture the target audience for the author in three seconds. Think of a book cover as a billboard. Book designers also review layout, format, font, paper type, in order to produce a final, ready-to-publish product.

Book Shepherd (see Publishing Coach) Book shepherds combine the roles of a book designer, a writing coach and a publishing coach. They assist in complete critical path planning of a book: artwork, cover designs, cover text, book title, font type and size, paper selection, writing content, layout, bar codes and Library of Congress numbers, publishing options, and marketing concept.

Computer Tutor
Computer tutors help authors get their work from their heads and hearts onto the computer file and prepared for publishing. They assist with computer training and trouble shooting.

Consultants
Consultants have professional backgrounds in areas of expertise that a writer might need for credibility in the writing of a book, e. g. medicine, forensics, psychology, engineering.

Copy Editor
Copy editors check for content, flow, style, grammar, and continuity. Sometimes they suggest new ideas or approaches. Every writer needs an editor!

Fact Finder
Fact finders specialize in sourcing the most unusual facts that will make a novel or book pop with electricity and authenticity.

Historian
Historians are people with experience or studied knowledge in specific eras and areas of history can help provide information support, color, and clarification to your novel.

Marketing Coach
Marketing Coaches create marketing plans that include concept and design for distribution and sales, websites, blogs, podcasts, product placement, corporate sponsorship, public speaking, and point of purchase displays.


Mentor
(see Writing Coach)
Mentors act as informal teachers and coaches for authors who may have become stuck or lost in their writing process. Communication, confidence support, and knowledge sharing are key elements of mentorship.

Proofreader
Proof readers review the manuscript for spelling, punctuation, grammar, and typographical errors.

Publicist
Publicists work with authors to create awareness for their books through press releases, media interviews, media interview training, and book event placements.

Publishing coaches guide the writer in all aspects of publishing: traditional publishing, print on demand, self-publishing, kindle, chapbooks, and online downloads.

Voice-Over Artist
Voice actors are the professional voices for books on audio tape.
Workshop Leaders Writing workshops and seminars focus on the art and craft of writing, specific types of writing or genres, publishing needs and options.

Writing coaches guide writers through the various phases of the writing process. Services include helping authors bring more focus and motivation to a current work, developing a specific writing project; and help in balancing writing goals and personal needs.
