You may also be asked to appear on radio shows, attend book-signings, and meet with all kinds of people interested in your book.

This 3-hour highly interactive workshop is being held at College of the Desert Classroom #1 Westfield Mall, Palm Desert, CA. Participants will be introduced to the following:

  • The importance of eye contact and body language to supplement your message
  • Techniques to focus your message to your target audience
  • Why humor is critical in your dialogue      
  • Lose the notes and remember the message
  • Find out what phrases make you look unprepared and unprofessional...and how to avoid them   
  • Think Fast! Address the spontaneity of your audience
  • Tips on how to project your professional image

Be prepared to learn, laugh, and come away with actionable strategies you can implement immediately! *Small group exercises and individual participation will be part of this interactive workshop.

Cindy Carpenter is Past Director of the Toastmaster District 12 (Riverside, San Bernardino, and parts of Los Angeles counties) Speaker’s Bureau. Recently in August 2014, Cindy participated in Toastmaster's International Speech Contest at the Toastmaster International Convention in Malaysia; Cindy placed and incredible third place out of 300 participants!
