Dear Guild Members,

Our May 7th general meeting was a celebration! Organizers Marge Dodge and Mike Craft did an awesome job planning and executing the party honoring the Guild's best writers. We had a colorful powerpoint show, readings by seasoned actors, and finished with sparkling cider, special desserts and networking. You can see photos of the event in our Photo Galleries page and a recap of the winners on our Annual Short Story Contest page.

Our member, Katharine Russell, is writing book reviews for Examiner.com. The editors want local 'Examiners' to deliver local content. Books by local autheros qualify. If you want Katharine to review your book gratis, please send her a complimentary copy at 368 Cypress Point Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92211 or email her an ePub or Mobi to russellwrites@gmail.com. She will review fiction, non-fiction, memoir, children's poetry, etc., but not erotic or adult, please, due to Examiner.com guidelines. If your book has been out for a while, try to supply a timely news peg. (Example: You just released the audio version, or you just partipipated in a book signing.) Also provide an emai address for possible 'interview' questions. Click here to read a recent article by Katharine reviewing a member's book.

Our next general meeting is on June 4th. Darrell James topic is "How to Get Published." I look forward to seeing you there.

Respectfully,

Mark E. Anderson
