10 Social Media Tools to Set Your Work on FIRE!

From Mass Media to Social Media Marketing, Denise Welch, owner of NewMedia ID, wants to help you set your work on FIRE! We've all heard about YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Many of us still don’t know what they are or how they work. This is your chance to learn about media tools in a friendly, convenient setting. Denise will show us how to use these social media tools to "ignite" our work and ultimately get noticed. Denise is the President/CEO of Computerworks, Inc., a local personalized computer consulting company based in Palm Desert. She started her business 20 years ago working with small businesses and people on an individual basis. Prior to opening Computerworks, Inc., Denise was a public school teacher for 10 years. In 1996, Denise created the Desert Internet Group, a non-profit community group dedicated to helping people understand the Internet and its impact on our society. In 1997, Denise's company hosted ICON 97, the 1st Community Technology Conference ever held in the Coachella Valley and repeated the conference in 1998.

In addition, Denise's company, along with Office Depot, hosted a Computer Consortium series of monthly seminars in 1999 on varying computer topics at the Cathedral City Library. In 2002, Denise was asked to join the City of Palm Desert’s Technology Committee and served for 4 years. Recently, Denise started another company entitled New Media ID, a small business marketing company that specializes in using New Media Marketing techniques including e-marketing, business blogging, social media communities and podcasting.
